Zeal Machine has released their new title “Stay Feral”, a heavy alternative rock single that goes straight for the loud side of things. There is no long build-up here. The guitars come in with real weight, the drums keep everything moving and the bass sits nicely underneath it all.
What works best is how much space the band gives the guitars. They sound big without taking over the whole track, while the drums add great punch. The vocals are strong and clear enough to stay on top, and the lyrics have the same rough edge as the music. It is easy to picture this one being played in a small packed room, with the band pushing the song harder as the crowd gets louder.
The song also shows why this kind of rock still works. Zeal Machine are not trying to make everything too clean or too clever. The production is polished, but there is still enough power in the playing to keep it sounding like a real band rather than a studio project. That chemistry matters, especially when the guitars, bass and drums lock together. The energy is great, the rhythm is tight, and nothing sounds forced.
We would definitely want to catch Zeal Machine live. Their music is made for a loud room, proper speakers and a crowd that is ready to jump around. Our only complaint is that once it ends, it leaves us wanting another one.
