Tiri The Seed has released a new freestyle track titled “Dark Horse”. It’s a track that gives him room to show what he can do as a rapper. He’s one of the few names we’ve been listening to recently in the indie rap scene, and this release is another good reason to keep his name on our radar.
The first thing that stands out is his delivery. Tiri raps with so much confidence, but he doesn’t need to force it. His flow is smooth, the verses are packed with strong bars and there’s a nice control to the way he moves between lines. The lyrics deserve some attention here. There’s a sharpness to his writing that keeps the freestyle interesting, rather than making it all about showing off and an ego trip.
The instrumental gives him a solid base with smooth beats that leave enough space for his voice to take the lead. The production is strong and the mixing and mastering are both clean. His voice has a rich tone and sits comfortably in the track, which makes the whole thing easy to listen to more than once.
“Dark Horse (Freestyle)” works as a confident statement from an artist who clearly knows his craft. We have enjoyed following Tiri The Seed lately and this track only adds to that. If indie rap is your thing, give it a listen and add it to your playlist. It’s also available on Spotify 🙂
