The Isle of CC just dropped their new single “Cozy” last week and honestly, it feels really nice to have them back on the blog again. The last time we wrote about them was in 2022, so yeah, this one felt a bit special to come back to.
“Cozy” is soft, calm, and just easy to sit with. It has that gentle soul and RnB sound that doesn’t try too hard, it just flows. The vocals are really the main thing here, smooth and warm, and they pull you in without any effort. There’s something about the way the voice sits on the instrumental that just works.
The song itself talks about being too comfortable in a relationship, like ignoring the bad signs because you like the idea of the person more than the real thing. It’s simple, but also very real. A lot of people will get that feeling. The way it’s written makes it easy to understand, no heavy thinking, just honest.
The instrumental is quite minimal. A bit repetitive in a good way, kind of matching the idea of being stuck in the same loop. It gives space for the vocals to shine, and we really liked that balance.
We really enjoyed listening to this one. It feels cozy just like the title says, and the quality is there from start to finish. We’re genuinely happy to see them back again and hope they keep dropping more this year because we’ll definitely be listening.
