Seth Clement – Burnt Hands

Seth Clement just dropped his new single “Burnt Hands”. This one is an easy sit if you’re into honest folk sounds. Right from the start, it feels very stripped back. Driven by acoustic guitar and his voice, but that’s kind of the point. It’s simple, but it works.

His voice is what really carries the song. There’s a confidence in how he sings. Just telling the story as it is. And the story itself leans into that idea of being stuck in a bad relationship, going back again and again even when you know it’s not right. The whole “playing with fire” theme comes through clearly. The guitar playing fits him really well too. It’s warm and just sits nicely under everything. And those melodies… they stick. Not in a loud way, but more in that quiet and replay-it-later kind of way.

What we liked most here is the atmosphere. There’s something very real about it. You can tell he’s pulling from personal space or at least something close to it. The writing is honest, a bit rough around the edges maybe, but that’s what gives it weight.

This is a strong release. It’s the kind of track you put on when you just want something real and not overproduced. We’ll definitely be adding Seth Clement to our playlist and keeping an eye on what he does next, especially with more music on the way.
