rian hart makes his first step as an artist with “GOOD TIMES”, a debut single that gets off to a strong start. The first artist who came to mind during the opening minute was Avicii, because of the bright electronic sound, the big pop melodies and that good energy running through the track. It is a first impression and the song keeps that energy going.
The track looks back at a relationship that has ended while holding on to the memories and the moments that were worth having. The story comes from both sides of heartbreak: times when rian was hurt and times when he was the one who hurt somebody else. Rather than turning the song into a sad record, he puts those memories over an upbeat production. That contrast gives the lyrics another side, and makes the title mean a little more. The chorus has a lift that stays with you for a long time.
The production is polished, the mix is clear, and the mastering sounds excellent. The electronic details sit nicely around the beats and melodies. The sound design is impressive and has a good level of detail. rian has a great voice for this kind of pop music. The vocals are strong, easy to follow and suit the melody very well.
For a first release, this is a good introduction. He put a lot of passion into making this track and it comes through in the songwriting as much as the sound. We enjoyed the energy, the vocals and the melodies, and there is enough here to make us curious about what he does next. rian hart is now on our list of artists to follow 🙂
