Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: I have been performing since I was a little girl! Growing up, I was heavily involved in the pageant and high-fashion runway modeling world. Singing and dancing were always my main talents during those pageant years, and I spent my childhood entering talent shows singing songs by Mariah Carey and Britney Spears. I also loved writing my own lyrics and creating beats even back then. I eventually took a step back from music to focus solely on my modeling career from 2004 to 2014. After retiring from modeling, I focused on becoming a wife and a mother. It wasn’t until later, while going through a difficult divorce, that I found my way back to my music. That deeply emotional transition is what ultimately led to the creation of my single, “Finally See.”
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Venus Niebres Taylor”?
A: I honestly just love doing what I do, and my main focus is growing my presence digitally. I am so thankful for the loyal supporters who stream my music on Spotify, iHeartRadio, YouTube, and other major platforms. For anyone just discovering Venus Niebres Taylor, my message is one of resilience. I want my listeners to know that I appreciate them, and I hope my music gives them the strength to overcome their own obstacles.
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: My sound is multi-genre—I love to blend Pop, Indie, Latin Pop, R&B, and Pop Rock. Because of that, my two biggest inspirations will always be Selena Quintanilla and Britney Spears. Listening to their music guided me through so many phases of my life, and their influence definitely shapes the way I approach my own art.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Finally See.”?
A: “Finally See” was written during one of the most difficult times of my life. I was going through a divorce and walking away from a toxic marriage where my love wasn’t valued. It was an incredibly heavy transition, but I made the decision to leave and to be strong—both emotionally and financially—for my two kids. We survived and made it through without his help. “Finally See” is the anthem of me realizing my own worth, moving on, and stepping into my independence.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: Strength.
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Finally See”?
A: The biggest challenges weren’t just in the studio, but in my personal life. I was facing massive emotional and financial challenges from the fallout of my marriage while trying to get this project off the ground. I had to rebuild my life and start completely from scratch, but channeling that struggle into the recording process is what makes the song so authentic.
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: The specific message of “Finally See” is for anyone—male or female—who is going through a bad breakup or a toxic situation. Do not settle for less than you deserve. At the end of the day, you will be okay as long as you believe in yourself. My overall goal as an artist is to use my past experiences to bring a message of hope and empowerment to people going through similar struggles.
Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive).
A: I am open to working with any talented, passionate artist! But if I had to choose my absolute dream collaborations, it would be Britney Spears, and if she were still with us today, the legendary Selena.
Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?
A: I say just do it! You only have one life to live, so you should spend it doing what makes you genuinely happy. If you love music, start by writing your own songs and building your own beats. Write everything down first, and then hit the recording studio. Don’t do it just for fame or to get noticed; do it because it heals you and because you truly love the art of it.
Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?
A: I would tell her: “Even though you are focusing heavily on modeling right now, never abandon your music. It will always be there for you.”
