Interview With MissHearMeClick

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?

A: As far as I can remember, one of my earliest memories connected to music was singing nursery rhymes as a child. I’ve always been an introverted person, so even at a young age, music became something very personal and comforting to me.

Growing up, I was never really into pop or mainstream music at first, even though my older sister loved listening to them. I was more drawn to songs from Walt Disney movies because I found them soothing and pleasing to the ears. Those songs made me feel emotions even before I fully understood them, and I think that emotional connection to music stayed with me as I grew older.

I was always fascinated with musical instruments too, but growing up, the reality was that academics had to come first over passion. Still, music stayed with me in small ways. One person who really influenced me was my grandfather. I used to watch him tune our bandurria and guitar purely by ear, and as a child, that amazed me. Later on, I learned that he used to play different traditional string instruments when he was younger, and I think that musicality somehow passed down to me.

When I got older and finally had more time to reconnect with my passion, I naturally found my way back to music. As an introvert, I sometimes find it easier to express emotions through melodies, rhythm, and lyrics rather than through words alone. That’s when I discovered I could write songs based on my own experiences and reflections about life.

As I experienced more in life, I gained more understanding about emotions, struggles, and growth, and songwriting became my outlet for expressing those feelings honestly.

Looking back now, I realize my musical direction was shaped not just by the music I listened to, but also by my personality, the memories I carry, the people who influenced me, and the experiences that stayed with me growing up.

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “MissHearMeClick”?

A: As an introverted person, I’ve always believed that music can speak in ways that words sometimes cannot. That’s why I want to grow my fan base by creating music that feels genuine, emotional, and relatable to people who may connect with the same feelings and experiences.

I know building an audience doesn’t happen overnight, so for me, it’s really about sharing my music consistently and allowing people to slowly discover who I am as an artist. I want to use digital platforms and social media not just to promote songs, but also to share the stories, emotions, and inspirations behind them. I believe people connect more deeply when music comes from a real and honest place.

For anyone who is about to discover MissHearMeClick, I hope my music gives you comfort, reflection, or even a sense of being understood. Many of my songs are inspired by personal experiences, emotions, and moments in life that are difficult to express directly, especially as someone who is naturally introverted.

MissHearMeClick is my way of turning thoughts and emotions into melodies and lyrics. If my music can make even one person feel less alone, then I believe that already means something meaningful.

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?

A: One of the artists who really inspired me growing up was Avril Lavigne. I was a huge fan of her music during my younger years, and even now, I still find myself singing her songs. I may not always be updated with today’s music trends because I’m honestly a bit of an old soul when it comes to music, but the artists and songs I connected with growing up have stayed with me emotionally.

At the moment, I also find inspiration from artists like M2M and Mandy Moore because I really appreciate heartfelt melodies and emotional storytelling in their music. I think that’s the kind of connection I naturally look for as a listener and also try to express as an artist.

Aside from artists, I mostly find inspiration from personal experiences, emotions, memories, and reflections about life. As an introverted person, I tend to process emotions deeply, and songwriting became my way of expressing feelings that are sometimes difficult to explain directly.

Sometimes inspiration comes from nostalgia, quiet moments, conversations, or even painful experiences. I believe music becomes more meaningful when it comes from a genuine place, and that’s what I hope to continue creating through my songs as MissHearMeClick.

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “A Place with No Walls.”?

A: “‘A Place with No Walls’ is a song about the search for belonging, finding a space where you can truly feel at home without fear, barriers, or judgment. It reflects the idea of a world where every story, every color, and every soul belongs through connection, music, and shared experiences.

The journey behind the song was actually very personal for me. Originally, it started as a jingle for a group of friends who found comfort in each other through laughter and music. Back then, it was called “A Place to Feel at Home – Chill Family.” But as I kept working on the melody, lyrics changes, and instrumental hooks, I realized something deeper, I was also searching for that feeling of home within myself.

At that stage of my life, I felt emotionally lost, and I think that naturally influenced the tone of the song. Even though the idea started from friendship and comfort, there was still a quiet sadness underneath it because I was still searching for where I truly belonged.

Later on, the original author gave me the freedom to transform it into a full song of my own. I continued writing and reshaping it over time, especially after I had my daughter. I paused the project again while going through struggles with my health, but when I slowly regained my strength, I returned to the song with a completely different heart.

My daughter became the inspiration that completed the meaning of the song for me. In her innocent and genuine way, she made me feel what “home” truly means. With her, I never felt judged or alone. She gave me strength during a time when I was close to giving up, and through her, I realized that sometimes home isn’t really a place, it’s a feeling, and sometimes it’s a person.

So A Place with No Walls became more than just a song. It became a reflection of my personal journey from feeling lost to finally finding comfort, healing, and belonging through love.

Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?

A: I would describe my sound in one word as Reflective. As an introverted person, a lot of my music comes from personal experiences, emotions, memories, and quiet moments of self-reflection. I want my songs to feel honest and meaningful, something listeners can emotionally connect with in their own way.

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “A Place with No Walls”?

A: Yes, definitely. Since the song evolved over several years, one of the biggest challenges was that I was also going through different emotional stages in my life while writing it. There were times when I felt lost and struggled with my health, so I had to put the song on hold more than once.

But when I came back to it after becoming a mother, the song took on a much deeper meaning. My daughter gave me a renewed sense of comfort, strength, and belonging, and that helped me finally complete the song with a more hopeful heart.

In many ways, A Place with No Walls grew together with me emotionally, which is why it feels very personal and meaningful to me.

Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?

A: The message behind my music is about reflection, emotional honesty, and finding comfort through shared human experiences. A lot of my songs are inspired by personal experiences, memories, struggles, healing, and growth, so I want listeners to feel understood and connected whenever they hear my music.

I hope my songs remind people that it’s okay to feel deeply and that even difficult emotions can become something meaningful through music and self-expression.

As an artist, my goal is to continue creating sincere and relatable music that people can emotionally connect with. I want to grow as a songwriter, share more stories through my music, and hopefully create songs that can comfort, inspire, or stay with listeners in their own personal way.

Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)

A: My dream artist to collaborate with would be Mandy Moore. Growing up, I really loved her music because she has this soft and heartfelt way of expressing emotions through her songs. I also connected with her through Disney, which was a huge part of my childhood and musical influence.

I think her music carries both warmth and sincerity, and those are qualities I also try to express through my own songs as ‘MissHearMeClick.’ Collaborating with someone whose music was part of my growing-up years would honestly feel very meaningful and inspiring for me as an artist.

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

A: My advice for people who want to pursue music or enter the industry is to stay true to who you are and not lose your genuine love for music in the process. It’s easy to feel pressured by trends or compare yourself to others, especially nowadays, but I believe the most meaningful music comes from honesty and real emotion.

I also think it’s important to be patient with yourself. Growth takes time, and not every journey will look the same. Keep learning, keep creating, and allow yourself to improve naturally through experience.

Don’t be afraid to share your work even if you feel nervous or uncertain. Sometimes the songs we hesitate to share are the ones people connect with the most.

Most importantly, remember why you started making music in the first place. If your passion and sincerity remain genuine, people will eventually feel that connection through your art.

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A: I would probably tell my younger self not to be afraid of being different or quiet, and that it’s okay to take your own path in life. Growing up, I focused a lot on responsibilities and academics, and I set aside my passion for music for a long time. But looking back now, I realize that the things we truly love never really leave us.

I would also remind my younger self to be more patient and kinder to herself during difficult moments. Some struggles may make you feel lost, but those experiences can also shape you, teach you, and eventually become part of your story and your art.

Most importantly, I would say: keep creating, keep feeling, and never stop expressing yourself honestly, because one day, those emotions and experiences will turn into something meaningful not just for you, but also for other people who may need to hear it.
