Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: I’ve been writing songs for many years and originally made a living writing for other artists. But I always had songs that didn’t quite fit anyone else but me… and I really missed singing and being on stage. Growing up, music became a way for me to process things. I’ve been dealing with chronic illness since I was 15, and I think that shaped me a lot — both as a person and as an artist. My creative outlet definitely comes from a place of wanting to feel understood, but also from wanting to help others feel less alone.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Loud Tiger”?
A: Right now I’m doing everything independently, so I’m learning as I go and trying to build something real and honest from the ground up. It’s a lot of work, but it also means I get to stay true to who I am. To anyone just discovering Loud Tiger — I hope you feel something. I hope you feel seen, uplifted, and reminded that even when life is tough… you are too.
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: I’ve been lucky to work with some incredible artists like Alicia Keys and Macy Gray, which has definitely inspired me a lot. But honestly, most of my inspiration comes from real life — relationships, struggles, emotions, and everything in between. Writing things down has always been a way for me to process tough experiences and understand them better.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Cactus.”?
A: When I finished the album and looked at the overall theme, “Cactus” just made sense. It represents resilience to me. A cactus survives in extreme conditions and still finds a way to bloom — and that really reflects my own journey. Living with chronic illness and going through a lot of physical and mental pain has taught me how resilient I am, even when things feel impossible.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: Cinematic?
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Cactus”?
A: I didn’t go into the album with a clear plan, so a lot of it was shaped along the way, which can be both exciting and challenging. Also, doing everything independently has been a huge learning curve. I knew how to write songs, but not how to release them, so I’ve had to figure out a lot in a short amount of time. Still only scratching the surface 😉
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: The core message is probably that life is tough… but so are you. We all go through struggles, but I want my music to uplift people and remind them to keep going, believe in something better, and make the best out of what they have. My goal is to keep creating honestly and to connect with people through my music — that’s always been the most important part for me.
Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)
A: I think someone like Dolly Parton would be a dream — not just because of her artistry, and her impeccable songwriting, but because she has managed to stay in the industry for so many years. I really admire that.
Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?
A: Be prepared to wear many hats — especially if you’re independent. It’s not just about making music anymore. Also, stay true to yourself. Don’t let other people dictate what you should sound like or who you should be. And don’t be afraid to start from scratch — even if you’ve already had success in another part of the industry.
Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?
A: I would tell myself to be kinder to myself. Not to compare my journey to others, and not to feel like I’ve wasted time because of things I couldn’t control. Everything I’ve been through has shaped me into who I am today — and that’s something I’m proud of. Life is tough, but so am I;)
