Håvard Øieroset – Facing My Own

Håvard Øieroset recently dropped his debut single “Facing My Own” and honestly, it’s one of those quiet songs that slowly pulls you in without trying too much. This was actually one of the first tracks we heard from him, even though he followed it up with “Clean Sheets” later on. But starting here feels right. The song is simple on the surface, soft guitar, clean arrangement, nothing overwhelming. Still, there’s something in it that sticks.

The guitar work is really the heart of the track. It’s calm, almost gentle, and gives space for everything else to breathe. His voice fits perfectly too, not overly dramatic, just real and steady, like he’s talking things through rather than performing them. That makes the whole thing more personal.

The lyrics are about dealing with darker moments and actually facing them instead of running away. It’s not presented in a heavy way though, more like quiet reflection. That balance works well. The production is great actually, it’s clean and focused. Nothing overdone and the atmosphere has its own little identity which is always nice to hear from a newer artist.

If you end up liking this one, “Clean Sheets” is worth checking too, it brings more energy and layers, but still keeps his core sound. Overall, we’d say this is a strong introduction. It’s simple, but not boring. And yeah, this is definitely an artist we’re keeping on our radar. His debut album will come out on the 24th of April, so stay tuned!
