EP: Sabreen Islam – room service

Beautiful and talented singer-songwriter Sabreen Islam is back with a new EP titled, “room service,” and we are super excited to review and share it with you. This EP is one of the more promising projects we’ve heard in a while and really deserves to be heard by all people around the world.

The EP features 6-tracks that highlight the genuine and delicate writing style of Sabreen Islam. Upon hearing these songs for the first time, we fell in love with them, and we were immediately hooked. The quality of this EP is interesting, and the production is simple and sounds very professional. The instrumentals are amazing, and the melodies are beautifully catchy. Sabreen’s voice is a piece of heaven and her performance is always captivating. From the lyrics to the melodies, you can tell that Sabreen’s musical style comes from an honest place. Something we always look for when discovering a new artist. She has so much talent when it comes to writing songs and her music is different and sets her apart from the crowd. Sabreen Islam has great musical abilities, and she is a promising talent that deserves more attention. We really love what Sabreen Islam brought to the table today and can’t wait to see where her career will go over the coming months. She has a catchy sound and her music is different.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Auckland-raised, twenty-year-old Sabreen Islam is an artist, songwriter and author. Weaving her signature style with inspirations from the likes of HozierConan Gray and dodieSabreen writes confessional and powerfully sharp lyrics, with a knack for telling stories through her songs. Her single ‘Glow’ was selected as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition 2020, and she has performed extensively across her native New Zealand, including at Auckland’s popular Others Way Festival. A multi-talented artist, Sabreen is also a published poet. In July 2022 she published a critically acclaimed collection of poetry called spring clean. Proudly Bangladeshi and Muslim, Sabreen is a fierce advocate for her community, which often finds its way into her music: her recent single ‘still love you’ featured tabla prominently in its production.

In 2023, Sabreen is gearing up to release her debut EP, ‘room service’, a collection of six songs created with Auckland producer Sophie Bialostocki. With two songs out already, and several exciting projects on the horizon, the future is looking bright for this rising artist as she prepares to share her music with the world.
