Dylan Taganas just dropped his single “Live Your Mind”, and honestly it’s one of those tracks that are easy to get into from the first listen. The song leans into this mix of rock energy with softer pop touches. It’s not too heavy, not too light either, just somewhere in that sweet middle. The guitars have that bright and slightly nostalgic feel and the drums keep everything moving without overdoing it. There’s a bit of that old-school vibe in there, but it still sounds fresh.
What really sticks is the melody. The chorus comes in and kind of stays in your head longer than you expect. Same with the vocal lines, they’re catchy but still natural and not forced. His voice has power, but it doesn’t try too hard to show off, which actually makes it hit better.
There’s also something simple about the message. It’s like reaching out, like trying to connect with someone going through stuff. Nothing too complicated, just real thoughts turned into music.
We also went back and checked his recent release, “Rolling Heavy Thunder” and it shows another side of his sound. A bit heavier, a bit more raw, but the same energy is there. That passion feels consistent.
We really dig this artist. He sounds like someone enjoying making music and figuring things out as they go.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Dylan Taganas, from Long Island, NY, is a 22-year-old multi-instrumentalist who is currently experimenting with songwriting and making music. He aims to combine the elements of genres like classic rock, modern and psychedelic pop, folk, jazz, progressive, and metal, to mold into one centerpiece. The lyrics are personal, introspective thoughts, mainly scattered in the mind of a perfectionist.
It all came to the test when he released his hard-rocking first single, “Feelings’ Blues” in July of 2020. And more than a year later, he released his mellow second single, “I Hoped, I Wondered”, which was written as a eulogy; a tribute to someone who Taganas knew. “Drained” was pushed into punk-metal fusion territory, which was a song he wrote back in 2022 but released in 2024. Same deal for the groove-rock song “Leave Me Cut”, which was written in 2023, but released in 2025. The new single, “Live Your Mind” is out now.
