Alex Shkudun’s new single “SUPERHIT” is a song with a big sound and a story that goes well beyond its title. I just discovered this Ukrainian songwriter and it didn’t take long to understand why I wanted to hear more of his music.
The song is about the part of chasing a dream that people rarely see. There is rent to pay, money running low, and those late nights when writing might be the only thing that still belongs to you. Alex doesn’t turn this into a tidy story about working hard and winning in the end. Sometimes, as the song points out, a person is not being brave. They are simply trying to get through the month. That honesty gives the lyrics something real to hold on to.
The production is strong, the vocals are loud and the beats and melodies are just amazing. The verses carry the story very well and the chorus opens up and gives you something to remember. It is a smart mix and the song has enough movement to keep the longer story from sitting still. The hook can stay in your head long after it ends.
Alex uses AI tools as part of making the music, but the writing is what caught my attention first. The track has a clear idea behind it, and the words don’t seem added just to fit a catchy chorus. They give the big production a reason to be there, without making the message hard to follow either.
There is a lot to like here. We really enjoyed listening to this track and going back to some of his earlier songs made us even more curious about what he will do next. Alex Shkudun is one to keep an eye on. We really believe in him!
