ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Looking to bring that ‘let-loose’ feeling to his own blend of Alt Rock, Eddy Chapman is a South African musician and songwriter with his own unique flair. He grew up in a musical family where the melodies of CCR, Roxette and Neil Diamond used to echo through the house, but it was Bon Jovi that inspired him to take up guitar and delve into a career in music. After he built his skills as a songwriter and finished up his home-schooling, Chapman formed his own band. This band would make local headlines, land radio plays and tour around the country with Chapman writing and arranging each track. Several years after the split of the band, Chapman was on a mission to build his career as a solo artist. His debut album ‘Lie-a-bility‘ released in 2020 soon brought about various press placements and radio plays, as well as an invitation to headline a music festival in the US. It seems that he was making noise overseas from the jump. The ‘Riot in a Whisper‘ project marks his fresh 2023 return. The artist recalls working with an abundance of talented musicians and having a lot of fun making these records, he hopes that the same feeling can resonate with listeners.
