LORD SCORE has released his new single “BAG OF FISH”, and this is my first time writing about him after discovering his music a few weeks ago. There is something unique and direct about the track. It does not spend too much time trying to sound perfect and that is a big part of why it works.
The production has a rough edge with the guitars and drums pushing the song forward while the vocals bring most of the raw energy. LORD SCORE sounds like he is having a good time here, but there is still so much control in the way the track comes together. The melodies are memorable and the lyrics will stay in your head after your first listen.
The track also has that classic alternative rock side. You can hear the 90s influence and it keeps things loud, simple and a little unpolished, which suits his style well. What I like here is the instrumentation work. There are enough details in the production to keep the track moving and the mixing is just perfect. LORD SCORE has a strong passion and a sense of how he wants his music to sound.
We are glad to have discovered him and this single gives us a reason to go back and hear more. “MA MOOLAH” and “WORK IT” are two other tracks worth checking out if you want to hear more of his style. There is real passion her, and our opinion is simple. This is an artist worth keeping an eye on.
