It’s one of those songs that pulls you in quickly and it’s easy to replay. Then you move into tracks like “Broke Me For The Better”, which already sounds heavy just from the title. And it delivers. Big chorus, strong emotion, and those vocal melodies that stay in your head after. It’s simple, but it works.
“Not Just Because” slows things down a bit. Softer, calmer, with a gentle instrumental that is well built. This one stood out a lot to us, just because of how easy it is to sit with it and let it play. “I Wish I Told You” takes a different path. It builds slowly. Starts very quiet, almost fragile, and then grows step by step until the final part hits harder. That kind of structure really fits the story he’s trying to tell.
There’s also “The Luckiest Man”, which brings a lighter mood. It’s more positive, more relaxed, like a small break in the emotional weight. Easy to enjoy, easy to vibe with. “The Best Gift I Ever Asked For” is probably the calmest and purest moment on the album. Soft acoustic sound, very simple, very honest. No need for anything extra here.
