If you’re craving loud guitars, hard-hitting drums and pure rock energy, YŪNGOLD’s debut EP “Force of Habit” is for you. This four-track project bursts with life from the very first second. It’s gritty, bold and full of attitude, exactly what you want from a new alt-rock band.
The production is tight and polished but still leaves room for that raw edge that makes rock exciting. The vocals are packed with passion and the lyrics don’t feel recycled, they have something real to say. The guitars are fuzzy and fierce and the drums hit hard, giving each track a strong backbone.
Formed in Hereford and born out of jam sessions and experimentation, YŪNGOLD have clearly found their sound. You can hear the chemistry between the members in every song, it’s intense and totally addictive. This EP is a blast. It feels like the start of something big. YŪNGOLD isn’t just another rock band, they’re bringing fresh fire to the scene and this release proves they’ve got the talent and the heart to go far. We’ll definitely be keeping my eye on them.
ABOUT THE BAND:

YŪNGOLD’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Quietly forming in late 2023, they exploded onto the scene with a genre-bending set at Hereford’s indie gem, The Jam Factory, in May 2024. By July, they were back, laying down four tracks for the venue’s Live From The Little Green Room sessions. The resulting live video, released the 21st of October, 2024, sent ripples across YouTube and streaming platforms, showcasing their watertight chemistry and unrelenting energy. Promoters have taken notice, with Underground Sound raving about their “iconic yet 100% unique” riffs, “raw, unhinged emotion,” and standout track Centre of the Earth. They called YŪNGOLD a band with “all the fundamentals” to go the distance, a perfect storm of songwriting, performance, and dedication.
