TWO TONNE MACHETE’s new single “HOME” is a powerful and emotional punk rock track that grabs you from the start. ABOUT THE BAND:
TWO TONNE MACHETE are a feminist punk band who make authentic, high energy, feel good punk anthems based in North West England/North Wales. TTM are fronted by Emily (She/her- vocals/guitar/keys), Ro (He/him- Bass), Thibaut (He/him- drums) and the recently added 4th member, Mark (He/him- lead guitar).
TTM’s vibe is Amyl and the Sniffers meets Mannequin Pussy and IDLES. And my God are they loud. Their fans adore their raw and powerful sound and their DIY merchandise has a cult following.
Despite being proudly DIY and self-supported, their first two singles, featured on both BBC Introducing and Radio X in 2023, along with over 200 other stations internationally. Their third single ‘ME’ also received widespread radio play.
They have been busy gigging and building a sound live following including playing slots at Focus Wales Festival, Future Now Festival and Manchester Punk Festival. Their new single out 2nd May 2025 called HOME with an EP to follow in the summer along with gigs throughout 2025.
Two Tonne Machete are ambitious, committed and have a strong political ethos. Songs tackle issues such as misogyny, radical politics, control, toxic masculinity and sexuality. TTM brings this message with powerful guitars, thumping bass and striking female vocals. Along with full throttle punk energy their music has melody and depth and light and shade.
