Trouble County just dropped the official music video for their title track “Blacken the Sky” and it’s a killer introduction to their debut album. This Portsmouth-based trio knows how to bring the heat and this track shows exactly what they’re made of.
Right from the start, the drumming hits hard and sets the tone. The guitars and bass are heavy and tight, giving the song a strong backbone. Then the vocals come in, it’s rich, gritty and full of power. The lyrics have real weight and fit the mood of the song perfectly. Everything about the track is polished and the solo near the end is a real standout moment. The energy in both the music and the video is off the charts.
The visuals in the video match the mood of the song. It’s dark, intense and cinematic. It really pulls you in and adds even more emotion to the music. We think this song is a perfect intro to Trouble County if you’re new to them. It’s hard rock done right and we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what they do next.
