Cambridge-based indie rock trio The Tender Heights’ debut single, “New Boy” is a stunning introduction to the band’s polished and well-crafted sound. With powerful female vocals by Georgina Cannon and standout instrumentation, this track has everything you could want from a fresh indie-rock release. The lyrics are original and delve deep into the complexities of modern relationships, touching on themes like desire, anticipation and vulnerability. The Tender Heights are a Cambridge-based indie rock trio inspired by a diverse range of influences including PJ Harvey, Warpaint, and Sonic Youth. Fronted by Georgina Cannon’s ethereally captivating vocals, they are driven by Brendan McGurk’s dynamic drumming. James Wood completes the lineup with a distinctive, effects-laden guitar style.
The band has quickly gained a loyal following by developing a distinct sound, blending haunting melodies with chilled grooves and gritty guitars.
