The minute we heard Jacqui’s voice we fell in love with it and couldn’t get them out of our heads. She has one of the purest and most beautiful voices we’ve ever heard and her performance on this record is on another level. The lyrics are memorable, beautifully written, and mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies. ABOUT THE BAND:
The Peace Lilies based in Hertfordshire UK, Jacqui Dee and Gary Sanford. Gary was the original guitarist with Joe Jackson and later went on to work with other artists including Joan Armatrading, Aztec Camera and Kirsty MacColl. Gary had always encouraged Jacqui to sing and during Covid lockdown 2020, Jacqui took up the mantle and started to learn guitar, sing and write songs. She had a natural talent that hadn’t been tapped into until then. The Peace Lilies songs, inspired by nature, the environment, love and love of life itself, transport the listener on a journey of picturesque lyrics and captivating imagery. The combination of Jacqui’s writing and Gary’s natural ability to bring the songs to life with his subtle feel for rhythms and emotionally charged guitar melodies, together with their unique vocal harmony blend, they produce an easy listening Indie Folk sound. They have been performing at gigs and festivals and excited to share their new song, due to be released early 2023.
