Album: The Lofty Pines – Light at the Door

The Lofty Pines have truly outdone themselves with their new album, “Light at the Door.” This 10-track collection is a refreshing and impressive experience from start to finish. It’s one of the best records we’ve heard recently and can’t wait to share it with the world. The production is smart, and the recording quality adds an intriguing depth to the overall sound.

The vocals on “Light at the Door” are catchy, carrying well written and original lyrics that will get stuck in your head for a long time. The songwriting is a standout feature, shining through each track with a level of craftsmanship that’s both rare and commendable. The acoustic guitar work is particularly amazing, adding a unique vibe to the album that keeps listeners engaged.

“Light at the Door” tells a story of hope and overcoming personal struggles. Ben Knighten, the main songwriter, shares that many of these songs were written long ago and have evolved over time. Initially played with his previous band, the songs found new life with the formation of The Lofty Pines. The band, consisting of Knighten on mandolin, Darren Thornberry on rhythm guitar, and Carey Lewis on fiddle, came together in the fall of 2022 to reimagine these tracks. Their combined talents have created an album that feels both cohesive and inspiring.

“Light at the Door” is a testament to the talent and potential of The Lofty Pines. We can’t get enough of their music and eagerly anticipate where their career will go from here. This album is not just a collection of songs but a poetic journey through overcoming challenges and finding hope. It’s a must-listen for anyone who appreciates heartfelt, well crafted music.
