Talented band Native Love shared with us their latest release “Summer Fever” and it’s absolutely brilliant. You’re going to love this song, it will leave you stuck on constant repeat for days and you would love to share it with everyone.
“Summer Fever is about how we all get a little crazier over the summer. Whether it be crime going up, clubs getting rowdy, or just generally talking your way into bad situations; summer can be the time where your frustrations rise to their boiling point (not unlike the weather).”
Everything about the song is powerful and exciting. It’s well produced and mixed, and really some good stuff to listen to all day long. The instrumentation is amazing and the energy this band brings to the table is undeniably something special and worth checking out. The vocal performance is outstanding and meshes perfectly with the production which let the melodies sparkle. The lyrics are original, meaningful, and will get stuck in your head in no time. You may find yourself singing the chorus out loud by the next morning. From solo guitar to vocals, to drums and melodies… it’s a song that can be enjoyed from start to finish and features a timeless experience you’ll enjoy for days to come. Go ahead and check out yourself and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to follow Native Love online to stay up to date on any upcoming releases or shows!
ABOUT THE BAND:
Native Love was formed in Newport News in 2020 and consists of Thomas Fosdick, Caleb Tupper, and Geoff Fosdick. For them, music is the best way to communicate the most intense emotions, the craziest of situations, and the intimacies of everyday existence. It’s their lives in a way everyone can understand, which is why they make music. That, and having real jobs is something they’d all rather avoid.
Songwriter, lead singer, and guitarist Thomas Fosdick grew up in Staunton, Virginia listening to The Beatles, Third Eye Blind, and Led Zepplin. These inspirations led him to learn lead guitar. In college, he honed his songwriting and performance skills and continues to write accessible music and lyrics about life, love, and everything in between.
Bassist Geoff Fosdick is a multi-talented musician. Although the bass is his go-to, he adds tasteful touches with the Hammond C3. Originally from Long Island, where he played guitar for Legally Blind, Geoff grew up listening to Steely Dan and the Beatles. His love for music inundates every song with snappy basslines and catchy melodies.
Drummer Caleb Tupper hails from Gainsville, VA. Music has been a part of Caleb’s life from a young age, taking classical piano and jass drumming lessons. Today, Caleb finds inspiration from drum legends John Bonham and Steve Smith, while adding a bit of modern flair from drummers like David Cola and Larnell Lewis.
Together, they are Native Love: Exactly like nothing you’ve ever heard.
