Smith, Lyle & Moore – Vampire

We can’t get enough of this new single, “Vampire,” by the talented and professional trio Smith, Lyle & Moore. The song is a unique experience from start to finish and one of the best records we’ve heard in weeks.

The minute we heard the vocalist’s voice, we fell in love with it and couldn’t get it out of our heads. He has one of the catchiest voices we’ve ever heard and his performance on this track is on another level. The lyrics are memorable, beautifully written and mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies. The instrumental is amazing, the quality is interesting and the vibe is captivating. The production of this song is professional and the mixing and mastering are excellent. We really love what this trio brought to the table today and can’t wait to see where their career will go over the coming months.

Regardless of what you are a fan of, Smith, Lyle & Moore bring a great variety of tastes and styles to their music and are paving the way for a new sound that’ll only grow stronger. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to follow the trio online to stay up to date!

ABOUT THE BAND:

A few weeks before Halloween, Smith and Lyle met in Los Angeles. It was a time where things were up in the air and all things were possible in all realms of life. Lyle, an accomplished songwriter (and now the frontman of synth-wave band The Midnight), had recently written Werewolf.

Meanwhile, Moore was in Brighton planning a trip to the United States. He had grown up in a musical household, with the shadow of his father, guitarist Gary Moore, hanging over him. Moore’s father had recently passed away and he felt an urge to leave England to find his voice as an artist.

Moore arrived in LA eager to work, but a producer he was scheduled to work with was in the throes of a peyote induced psychotic episode. Moore ended up working with Smith. The two wrote and recorded Fate the first day they met each other.

Moore later returned to Los Angeles, where he and Smith spent a month in a make-shift studio on the beach in Malibu, writing and recording an album’s worth of material, drinking Johnny Walker green label, and occasionally getting g-rated psychedelic. At the end of the month, they traveled to Moore’s childhood friend Dhani Harrison’s Santa Monica studio, to have him add vocals to a few of their songs. Harrison’s father was a close friend of Moore’s Father’s, having worked together in the Traveling Wilburys.

A songwriter friend drew parallels between Moore’s and Lyle’s music and the idea to merge them was suggested. Here’s what happened next.
