Poison Oak – Therapy

Indie rock band Poison Oak has just released their latest single, “Therapy,” produced by Mike Myers. Unlike their previous releases, which were known for their energetic and anthemic indie rock sound, “Therapy” takes a different turn, offering a chilled-out, melodic sing-along number that showcases the band’s ability to write catchy pop tunes with tasteful guitars and harmonies.

The song starts off with bright guitar tones that set the tone for the rest of the track. The tempo is slower than their usual fare, but it’s no less infectious. The melody is catchy and the vocals are smooth and easygoing, reminiscent of Weezer and The Pixies. The sound is relaxed and vibrant, with a late 90s/early 2000s feel that’s sure to appeal to fans of the era. The chorus is particularly memorable, with a chanting quality that encourages the listener to sing along. The guitar melodies are equally catchy, easy to hum and whistle along to. The song’s lyrics deal with the theme of therapy, with the singer expressing a need for a break from the stresses of life. It’s a relatable theme that many listeners will no doubt connect with.

Overall, “Therapy” is a welcome departure from Poison Oak’s usual sound, showing the band’s versatility and ability to write infectious pop tunes. The production by Mike Myers is top-notch, and the band’s performance is spot-on. It’s a song that’s easy to listen to, perfect for kicking back and relaxing on a lazy afternoon. Poison Oak fans and newcomers alike will surely appreciate this vibrant addition to the band’s catalog.
