mug recently released their single “down”, a track that sits somewhere between alternative rock, shoegaze haze and that slightly raw Midwest emo edge. The song just opens with guitar and that guitar ends up carrying a lot of the weight from beginning to end.

Their emphasis on extreme dynamics, making use of heavy hitting choruses contrasting with beautifully quiet verses make a cathartic and impactful listening experience. While they started out performing all over hertfordshire, they are now currently taking over the London music scene.
