“It’s a song I wrote for a girl I fell in love with during the summer of 2018. It’s a celebration of love, magic, and all-things-beautiful. I wrote the chorus in Los Angeles, the verses on a plane ride to Portland, and all of the acoustic guitar parts in Spokane. I met the girl in Seattle.”
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Moses Mikheyev is a Russian–American alternative rock, pop, and folk artist from Los Angeles. His debut album I ONLY HAVE A HUNDRED YEARS TO LOVE YOU will be released fall of 2023. Some of his music is genre-defying, falling into indie, progressive rock, rock pop, and even shoegaze categories.
His influences include Future Of Forestry, Lifehouse, Anberlin, Blue October, Coldplay, Architects, Steve Earle, Backstreet Boys, Imagine Dragons, The Killers, Michael Jackson, Journey, and many 70s and 80s rock acts.
I ONLY HAVE A HUNDRED YEARS TO LOVE YOU incorporates extensive use of analog equipment, sometimes intentional low-fi, and tape machines. The album is being produced by Brandon Zano (of the rock band Zaano) and David Gavrishov.
Mikheyev is also a prolific novelist and poet. His most recent novel is This Time Next Summer, a semi-autobiographical romance. His first children’s book, Olivia & The Gentleman from Outer Space, will be released 2023, followed by an adult science fiction thriller, Vanishing Bodies.
