Lee Richards’ new single, “Two Feet in the Driveway,” hits you right in the feels. It’s a song that’s easy to love from the get-go, with honest lyrics and a catchy melody that sticks with you. Richards’ voice is smooth and full of emotion, and the acoustic guitar sets the perfect mood for the song.
The lyrics are all about love and sticking it out through tough times. Richards explains that it’s about that moment when things are rough, and you feel like you could just walk away, but your heart won’t let you. It’s a love song at its core, expressing that deep connection that keeps you rooted, even when things are hard.
One cool thing about this song is how Richards recorded it. He did it all in one take, just him and his acoustic guitar. Later on, he added in some electric guitar parts to give it that extra oomph. It’s a simple setup, but it works so well, letting the emotion of the song shine through.
Richards’ background and influences come through in his music too. He grew up in the North West of England, and you can hear bits of classic rock, blues, folk, and indie in his sound. He says he didn’t really get into music until later in life, but now he’s drawing inspiration from his own experiences and family life.
“Two Feet in the Driveway” is a song that’s easy to relate to, no matter who you are. It’s about love, struggle, and ultimately choosing to stay, even when it’s hard. Richards’ talent as a songwriter and musician is on full display here, and it’s clear that he’s got a lot more to offer in the future. This song is definitely worth adding to your playlist.
