Le Concorde is back after a long hiatus and his new single “Corpus Christi” is a powerful return. Stephen Becker, the artist behind this project, has crafted a track that feels both nostalgic and fresh, blending 80s-inspired synth-pop with modern production.
The song pulls you in from the first second with its shimmering instrumentation. The production is polished and professional, with layers of lush synths, rich melodies, and intricate arrangements that all work together beautifully. The vocals are filled with passion, carrying the song’s emotional depth effortlessly. You can hear the influence of classic 80s bands like The Blue Nile and Prefab Sprout, but the song still maintains a unique identity.
The songwriting is solid, with a strong sense of atmosphere that makes the song stand out. The energy is vibrant yet controlled and the mix of soulful vocals with vintage synth textures creates a mesmerizing listening experience. It’s clear that Becker, along with legendary producer Calum Malcolm and keyboardist Roger Manning, Jr., put a lot of care into every detail of this track.
We love the energy of this song. It has a beautiful flow, and the production is truly impressive. The way the instrumentation blends with the vocals feels effortless and the melodies are simply captivating. “Corpus Christi” is a great single that proves Le Concorde’s return was worth the wait.
