
Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: I was born in Slovakia, Moved to England when I was young and spent most of my childhood in Sheffield. A lot of my family members in Slovakia are musical people which definitely played a hand in my connection to music. Sheffield and the people I grew up with are the reason I found my calling early on.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “ZATKO”?
A: Mainly, my goal is to make quality visuals and art to go hand in hand with the music. No one owes me anything so I want what people see to be something that I would think is cool.
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: I have many inspirations in music but one of the most recent would be ‘fakemink’. I really like the feel and sort of human aesthetic he’s portraying. ‘XXXTENTACION’ has always inspired me as an artist and growing up it was that era of music that curated my production style and taste even to this day.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “CHOKEHOLD.”?
A: Chokehold is essentially the first page of a new chapter in the book.
It’s about being ready to change the mediocrity into something more.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: ZATKøesque
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “CHOKEHOLD”?
A: My only challenge while making any song is my old MacBook Air
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: The message of my music is ‘hey listen to this song I just made’
My goal is to get more people to join me in spreading my message.

A: Sex bob-omb
Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?
A: Do it because deep down you really want to do it. It’s a space where you have to be a lot more vulnerable than in normal work. It’s only when you make a decision to actually try and not care about failing, that’s when you have the right mindset.
