Interview With TX

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?

A:
Being raised in Bristol (UK) by a Greek father and an English mother, while spending a lot of time in Greece growing up, definitely shaped my childhood. I was exposed to two very different cultures — both in the good and the bad — and that duality moulded who I am. I learned the absolute importance of family, while also embracing independence, and that balance has always stuck with me.

I also witnessed the true value of self-belief, hard work, and sacrifice through my father, who immigrated to the UK to be with my mother. Despite not speaking English fluently at the time, that never stopped him from achieving his goals. He’s been a role model since day one.

This had a huge impact on me — not only as an artist, but as a person. Hard work will always win. Always.

I’ve always been musical. I was constantly singing rock and pop songs that my older brothers played and listened to. That evolved into me creating and writing my own music, which eventually led to my exposure to a wide range of Rap. That blend of styles is what you hear in my music today — life experiences lived and breathed through trap wave melodies and Rap beats.

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “TX”?

A:
I plan to approach the scene with a refreshing new sound, along with a unique perspective that’s both visually and emotionally compelling. For me, creating is more than just music — it’s an experience, a feeling, a lifestyle.

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?

A:
At the moment, I’m listening to a lot of music. Afrobeats and House have been a huge vibe recently — artists and DJs like Rema, Omah Lay, Ayra Starr, Hugel, and Black Coffee, just to name a few.

In terms of inspiration, it always stems from my emotions, relationships, and experiences — things that feel important to say but can’t be fully expressed through words alone. That’s where music steps in.

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Obsessed”?

A:
”Obsessed” is really a “toxic relationship” anthem. It’s about being trapped in a situation where substances or toxic emotions take over, yet still making sacrifices for love — trying to save what once felt like a safe haven and paradise.

Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?

A:
Historical

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Obsessed”?

A:
Honestly, there were very few — if any — challenges. The song came straight from the heart, which allowed the ideas to flow naturally and the melodies to fall into place effortlessly.

Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?

A: The message in my music varies, but I usually preach about hustling and working hard. To me, that’s everything — and whether I inspire one person or a hundred, it will feel like mission accomplished.

My goal as an artist is to become a brand that’s not only strong and recognized, but respected — for what I contribute to the culture of Rap and to the world as a whole.

Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)

A:
Lil Wayne on a Scott Storch beat will always be a dream collaboration for me. I have no idea how it would sound, honestly, but working with two of the greats would be a blessing.

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

A:
Work hard. Control overthinking — don’t stop it, because overthinking is a superpower if used correctly. Build your team, and prepare yourself — this industry is rough and remorseless.

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A:
Trust in yourself and in perfect timing. The journey is everything. You’re living the life you dreamed about just a few years ago.
