Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: We started in 2023 in bradford and it formed from a group of childhood friends who all had some musical talent and wanted to create music, I’m the lead singer Jacob and I’ve been an actor since I was 4, I have done multiple plays but I am mainly a screen actor, having been on Emmerdale, Brassic, Recently a short film for greenpeace. I’ve always been interested in creating, and I found it very easy to create catchy tunes with my voice so I always knew I would end up making music in some way. Singing was a way I could relax and reflect on my life.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Havoc City”?
A: We are planning on gigging in the north mainly in leeds for 2026 and show the people a good time, you come to a havoc city gig to get moving and have a mega blowout, Our recent gig was crazy, Danny Sapko turned up, we sold up to 60 tickets and the audience and us had a mad time. So 2026, record new music, get gigging and post on the socials. The message we have to anyone who is about to discover Havoc City is: Feel it in your bones, use it as a tool
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: For me (the lead singer) the most inspiring artist is Inhaler. I just can’t stop listening to them. I think they get the feeling of a song just right and their guitars sound incredible, not to mention Elijah Hewson’s phenomenal voice which sounds otherworldly. We find our inspiration in making music, when we have all been together and just maybe gone on a night out, spent some time together, when it’s nothing to do with music and we’re just relaxed in the moment remembering we’re here cause we’re mates and then when we’re in that feeling we get a guitar and boom it just happens.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Maybe You’re Crazy.”?
A: Maybe You’re Crazy came from when I was at a party and my favourite song was playing and there was this girl who I really liked who was dancing too just as crazily as I dance and she loved the song and we were singing it to each other. And when I first heard the riff my guitarists made I just naturally sang the catchy chorus Maybe (beat) Baby I wanna find a way through the heat of the tension, it literally just came out of nowhere and the rest of the song is how the rest of the night went really if you get my drift haha.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: Zenith
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Maybe You’re Crazy”?
A: Yes I had to cut out a lot of the lyrics because it was physically impossible to sing (I was running out of breath so much and it was bad for the vocal chords) So there are breaks and words missing. I still face this problem on stage when I’m DANCING aswell I’m so out of breath but I love it!!
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: Our message is we want people to have a good time we always have. And our goal is to show the world you can have a good time and celebrate who you are. We want to play at the biggest venues with incredible people (the audience) and put on the best events which include so much fun and excitement.
Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)
A: We don’t really have a dream artist and it is biased if I say mine and the band don’t like it but if we could play with one band it would be Queen for sure.
Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?
A: My advice is think; is this something you really want to do and if it is then make sure you go for it with full force.
Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?
A: Enjoy your time with the band and enjoy making the music, stop stressing about if this will work.
