Interview With Baby Did a Bad Thing

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?

A: Being exposed to music through parents has definitely played a huge part

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Baby Did a Bad Thing”?

A: Playing concerts and connecting with people and not algorithms. Our message is that we are “your dad’s new favorite band”

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?

A: On the top of the head, and for this record: Foy Vance, Fleetwood Mac, Bon Iver and so many more of course.

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the album, “Hope.”?

A: We wanted with this album to focus on all the things that make life worthwhile and bring it meaning, in these uncertain times. Relations, leaning on eachother, compassion. Hope.

Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?

A: organic

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording the album?

A: Several of the songs on the album existed in multiple versions before finding the right one for the record. Blood, sweat and tears have never been more accurate when describing our process!

Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?

A: Reminding folks what matter. Bringing people together and sharing experiences for example at a live concert. Our goals is to touch as many hearts as we possibly can, both in Denmark and abroad. We just played our first show in Germany this summer.

Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)

A: Neil Young or Gillian Welch

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

A: I don’t know if we’re in a position to be handing out advice, but I guess stay true to yourself. Not only musically but also morally.

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A: Really think hard about choosing your band name
