We are super excited to share with you this amazing single, “The River,” by the creative, professional and talented band God from the Machine. The minute we heard this song we knew it was something special and couldn’t get it out of our heads.
The vocalist has one of the richest voices we’ve ever heard and his performance on this record is incredibly catchy. The chorus is powerful and will get stuck in your mind for some time. You may find yourself singing it out loud by the next morning. The lyrics are memorable, beautifully written and mesh perfectly with the vocal melodies. The energy of this record is amazing and the quality is interesting. The production is polished, smart and borough this song to a whole new level. We love their style and the energy behind their music. Can’t wait to see where their career will go over the coming months! Check out the song for yourself and be sure to let us know what you think. Don’t forget to follow God from the Machine online to stay up to date!
WHAT THE BAND SAYS ABOUT THE SONG:
“The River came together following a bout of writer’s block surrounded by the frustration of writing for a new project, whilst coming to terms with the loss on another. This intern inspired the lyrics to focus around the themes of anxiety, self worth, and the daunting notion of wondering what the future will hold. Similarly to our previous release early this year we have chosen to include the B side You Will Never Change as we felt it would be a good companion to The River”
ABOUT THE BAND:
God from the Machine started as a writing outlet for us both that eventually became our primary focus. Following the release of our debut single Paralysed in December of 2021 we have proceeded to play a number of live performances as well as write and release new music, most notably our follow up release Given Up in April of this year. This was met with positive reviews and enjoyed by fans, with many describing our sound as being reminiscent of 90s Brit rock. A comparison welcomed by us both.
