Creative and professional band Frightful Places left us stuck on repeat with their new single, “Old Frame”. and we are super excited to share with the world. The song is a great experience from start to finish and really deserves more attention.
“Old Frame” is about growing up to watch your hometown change, yet feel the same. The ambient textures of bands like Minus the Bear & Foxing inspired this song, the first one Kevin wrote for Frightful Places eight years ago. Lyrically, “Old Frame” has changed quite a bit since then, but it’s always been a ghost story. The song came to life in the studio with edits from Teti and Antonio Mastorianni’s drumming.
The vocalist has one of the richest voices we’ve ever heard and this song shows off all the melodic tones of his stunning voice. His performance is professional and his vocal abilities are impressive. The production here is polished and there is a great level of songwriting that shines through this record. This band is talented and the ability to share their thoughts and emotions observations is something very few bands can master but Frightful Places does it perfectly. The instrumentation is outstanding and the atmosphere of this song is unique and will take the listen to a lifetime journey.

Developed over eight years on the Appalachian Trail and in cars, cafes, & bedrooms across CT, Frightful Places is the Emo passion project of Kevin Tiernan (Mighty Tortuga, Moving Brooklyn). The band name comes from the idea that you should experience the things that frighten you.
