Frida and The Mann – Monsters

Some songs take their time. “Monsters” by Frida and The Mann does exactly that. The song opens softly. Warm. There’s space in it. Frida’s voice comes in pure and controlled, almost careful at first. Then it stretches. Her range is impressive, but it never feels like showing off. Just honest. The lyrics dig into control and manipulation, and that slow climb toward taking your power back. It’s personal, you can tell. Not dramatic. Just real.

The band builds around her in a way that feels natural. The guitars are atmospheric. The drums steady. The bass subtle. Everything fits. Recorded at Lava Room Studios in Cleveland back in March 2025, the production is clean but not overworked. It breathes. By the final stretch, the song grows stronger, louder, more intense. That last part hits. No rush, just release. There’s something haunting about the melodies too. They stay with you longer than expected. And even though the sound blends alternative rock and indie pop, it doesn’t feel stuck in either lane. It moves.

Formed in 2023 and already winning Best New Artist at the 2024 Cleveland Music Awards, the band clearly isn’t slowing down. We loved this one. The softness turning powerful by the end? That’s the moment. That’s what makes “Monsters” stick.
