Singer, guitarist, and songwriter Evan Charles landed on our radar recently with his debut single, “Remember When,” and It’s without a doubt one of the best records we’ve heard in months and we are excited to share it with you!
The minute we heard Evan’s voice, we fell in love with it and couldn’t get it out of our heads. He has one of the richest voices we’ve ever heard, and his vocal abilities are truly impressive. The production of this song is beautifully simple and there is a great level of songwriting that shines through this record. The energy of this song is great and the melodies are amazing. The instrumental is beautiful, and the recording quality is interesting. We really love Evan Charles’ musical skills and writing style and can’t wait to see where his career will go over the coming months.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Evan Charles is the singer, guitarist, and songwriter behind the Austin-based band Altamesa. Embarking on his first solo venture outside of his Austin mainstay, Charles is launching a solo career rooted in earnest, prophetic songwriting. While Altamesa’s first two full- length albums, The Long Ride Home (2016) and Idol Frontier (2019), both received 4-star reviews in the Austin Chronicle, in the fall of 2019, Charles was selected as one of six Austin- based songwriters to participate in the international touring and documentary film organization Project ATX6, reigniting his passion to put storytelling back to the forefront. Teaming up with Austin-based record label, Mr. Pink Records, Charles is set to release his debut solo album, Between Two Worlds in summer of 2023.
