Poking my head above the parapet to share a new EP we’re in love with at the moment…titled, “Grand Theft Auto/Red Car Syndrome,” the 2-tracks EP is an amazing experience from start to finish and we had it on repeat all morning today, it seems we can’t get enough of it. This is some of his best work to date and we are super excited for you to hear it.
The energy is beautiful and it’s one of the best projects we’ve heard in months. Hotel Decor’s musical style is different, he has an amazing passion for his music and masters this art perfectly. The atmosphere of this project is unique and the production style is creative, distinctive and brought this EP to a whole new level. We listened to these tracks several times, and we still can’t find the right words to describe them. The atmosphere is unique and the melodies are beautifully catchy. The lyrics are original, well written and will get stuck in your head for a long time. You may find yourself singing them by the next morning. Hotel Decor has impressive musical skills and his vocal performance is always captivating. He has one of the richest voices we’ve heard in months and this project shows off all the melodic tones of his stunning voice and shows how talented he is in writing songs. The instrumentals of these tracks are amazing and really some good stuff to listen to all day long.
We love what Hotel Decor brought to the table today, and we’re super excited to hear what other projects have up his sleeve. But until that happens, we’ll just have to keep “Grand Theft Auto/Red Car Syndrome” on repeat. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think. If you like the EP, spread the word and share it with your friends. Don’t forget to follow Hotel Decor online to stay up to date on any future releases!
WHAT THE ARTIST SAYS ABOUT THIS EP:
“Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Red Car Syndrome (RCS) came together spontaneously. I was working on several projects at the time, and I felt I hadn’t done any solo stuff in a while. The instrumental for RCS had been on my hard drive for over a year, and I had kind of hit a wall in terms of what I was going to do for vocals. I was hanging out with my friend Nathan in the studio, and we started chipping away at it thematically. GTA was the opposite; I made the first version of it in 40 mins. I had been in a reasonably long studio session recording my friends’ band, and while cleaning up, I started jamming a bassline on my Prophet. Thematically RCS is about faking it till you make it in terms of personal and emotional growth. GTA is about getting your hopes up too early, which I am guilty of constantly. Sonically I think there’s a nice contrast between the 2 tracks, with GTA being much more upbeat and dance-like. RCS has a much warmer vibe.”
