ABOUT THE ARTIST:
ELZON is a London-based singer, rapper, songwriter and producer. Known for blending early 2000s R&B and Hip-Hop sounds with alternative soundscapes and colouring the beats with his distinctive vocal tone and soft falsetto, ELZON started gaining traction in the underground R&B scene. Born to Indian parents, raised in Kuwait and eventually moving out to London, the R&B crooner is influenced by several different musical cultures and this has impacted his approach towards his art and lifestyle. Being from a desi background and coming from a conservative culture, he often struggled to express his interest towards music and art as it was not the traditional choice of career or ambition. Despite the difficulties, he pursued creating music as it was a sense of freedom and escapism for the young artist.
During the early stages of his career, he predominantly wrote for other artists and this opened several opportunities for him. He collaborated alongside Grammy-nominated producer Ammar Junedi and underground R&B producer CASSO to create a sample pack which would give him production and songwriting placements with artists such as Abby Jasmine, Sewerperson and more. ELZON’s single titled “Is He Home” got placed on several editorial playlists by Spotify in 2022 such as New Music Friday UK, MOOD and Channel X, and this would bring him the attention of industry insiders such as Liberty Music who has worked alongside Kota the Friend and Jorja Smith, offering him PR support for his future endeavours. ELZON’s highly anticipated EP, C U SOON was released in 2024. The ep features production from the likes of his friends and collaborators Ammar Junedi, CASSO, Nic Dreams and more. The alternative R&B tape covers a storyline of an affair that leaves the singer wondering if it was just a fling or something more.
