Enrage – Equinox

If you’re looking for something that balances death metal and hardcore, Enrage’s new single “Equinox” is definitely worth checking out. The energy in this track is incredible with hard-hitting guitars, pounding drums and intense vocals that pack a serious punch. Everything about this song is heavy, the atmosphere, the instruments, and the production. The dark tone adds to its intensity, making it a true metal experience.

The track delivers a powerful message about resilience and pushing through tough times. The band uses a 7-string guitar in drop A tuning for the first time, creating a deeper and heavier sound. This shift adds a fresh edge to their music while staying true to their hardcore roots. The production here is professional and gives the track a raw but polished feel.

One of the standout moments for me is the guitar solo, it’s sharp, gripping, and adds a great dynamic to the song. Enrage continues to evolve while keeping their signature aggressive style. If you love heavy, dark, and well-produced metal, this track is definitely a song to put on repeat. We love the intensity and the raw energy that make this track hit hard from start to finish.

ABOUT THE BAND:

Formed in Staten Island, NYENRAGE is a hardcore band inspired by the legendary sounds of iconic clubs like CBGB’s and L’Amours. The band’s journey began in the early ’90s when childhood friends came together to create music that would make a lasting impact on the underground scene. The bands first demo, Burning Within, was produced by Josh Silver of Type O Negative and sold over 3,000 copies, marking the band’s rise in the hardcore and thrash scenes. Their early success landed them gigs at famed New York venues such as CBGB’sLimelight, and The Wetlands, and allowed them to share the stage with legendary acts including Agnostic Front, Bad Brains, Biohazard, Gwar, Hatebreed, Kreator, Life of Agony, Prong, Testament, Soulfly, and many more. The bands debut full-length album Empty (1995), produced by Noah Evans (Beastie Boys, Cro-Mags), gained significant attention, with the track “Cooper” even receiving praise from Howard Stern on air. After a brief hiatus, ENRAGE made a triumphant return with Nothing Stays Buried (2010), which climbed to the Top 25 on the CMJ Loud Rock charts and earned extensive airplay across college and foreign radio. Their latest single, “Old Boy“, is already generating buzz, and “Equinox” promises to continue that momentum. With their unmistakable energy and evolving sound, ENRAGE remains a driving force in the hardcore and thrash metal scenes.
