Duo Mundi’s new single, “Places” is a haunting and emotional track that pulls you in from the first note. With a slow tempo and minimal instrumentation, the song allows the vocals to take center stage, delivering a powerful and touching performance. The lyrics are deep and honest, making it easy for listeners to connect with the emotions behind the music.
The duo Callum Holt and Brandon Darby, creates music that blends shoegaze, ambient, and synthwave influences. The haunting melodies and raw emotions make this song one that lingers in your mind long after it ends.
“Places” is more than just a song, it’s an experience. Callum describes it as a reflection on self-acceptance and the struggle for inner peace, and you can truly feel that in every note. Duo Mundi has crafted something special with this track, showing their ability to turn personal experiences into beautiful, emotional music.
We really love how stripped-back and intimate this song feels. It doesn’t try too hard, it just naturally pulls you in and makes you feel something. Duo Mundi is definitely a duo to watch.

We are Duo Mundi (two of the world) Callum Holt and Brandon Darby – A creative pair based in Manchester, UK. Both bound together through our infectious love for music, ranging from genres such as shoegaze, ambient to synthwave and disco. Our music is mainly inspired by the likes of Joy Division/New Order, John Martyn, Leonard Cohen and Brian Eno.
Our friendship first came about at a party where we instantly had a connection and we have been a musical partnership ever since. Everything we have written has been recorded and produced in Brandon’s home studio. Recording and producing in such a personal space inspires us to incorporate that within our music, keeping our lyrics and sounds true to our own personal life experiences. We never stray from what’s real to us.
