Duane Hoover is back with a bold new take on Donovan’s classic and we couldn’t be more into it. His version of “Jennifer Juniper” throws out the soft and gentle tone of the original and replaces it with full-on punk rock energy. It’s only two minutes long, but it hits hard with a huge chorus, gritty momentum and polished production. You can really feel the passion in every second of this track.
What I love most about this cover is how Duane adds his own flavor while respecting the original lyrics. It’s loud, theatrical, and full of life, definitely a song that should be put on repeat for hours. The rich instrumentation and powerful delivery make it stand out, and it’s the kind of song you want to hear again as soon as it ends.
We are big fans of Duane Hoover and his style and this cover just adds to the list of reasons why. “Jennifer Juniper” is short, loud, and catchy, what more do you need? It’s been on repeat for me all day.
