Conversation With TreyWyze

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?

A: My name is Trenton aka TreyWyze from Queens, NY now living in the Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas, Nevada. I grew up around lots of music starting out as a youngster listening to a lot of tunes played by my father, from Bob Marley and the Walers to the True Tones, Teddy Pendergrass etc. that had a great affect on my love for music.

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “TreyWyze”?

A: I plan on sharing my music through social media, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube etc. along with radio air play. A lot of music that I have produced, mixed and mastered has already been out for years but under artist who have done music for the label 3 Shots Productions but not under TreyWyze. So I decided recently to set up TreyWyze Muzik which will present tunes that I have produced and engineered specifically for my brand. So all music that I have produced, mixed or mastered will now have my name TreyWyze attached to it, which will help me grow as a creator and engineer. I intend to do this with a lot of Electronic Music and House Music, something like what David Guetta does, he is not a vocal artist but he produces a lot of great music for artist and his name and likeness is on a lot of his projects which increased his brand awareness.

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?

A: The person that inspires me the most is David Guetta, I love his projects, they are very well produced, and his music is very musically sound. I have plenty of other artists I draw inspiration from, but I named him because I am exploring the Mainstream EDM world and his music sounds great to me. My inspiration for making music comes from within. I love music especially the great producers and engineers. Some are P Diddy, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and many more. To me they take pride in their craft and the music they make resonates with their listeners and you can tell from their creation they love what they do.

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Fya.”?

A: There really is no message around the song Fya per say, as it is a Trance/Psy Trance dance song. However, I wanted to create it with sparse vocals that were kind of orchestral, heavenly sounding, that’s why I chose Olha, she is a stunning vocalist, and her vocals are amazing. I thought that would make it different and make it stand out more.

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Fya”?

A: Recording it was not challenging because it’s not really a lyrical track. However, mixing and mastering it to what I had in my head was bit challenging as I had to mix and master it to where everything had to come together to give me that electronic feel but with a big explosive sound with those heavenly orchestral vocals. I think the end product came out pretty good.

Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?

A: Most of the music will be fun dance music and the ones with lyrics I intend them to be fun with meaning but also clean. Mostly all the music I have released under other artist for label 3 Shots Productions the lyrics are clean, some might have a few words here and there but not too explicit, that’s the way I like to roll because I believe music is Power and can trigger certain behavioral patterns in people, so I try to keep it trill. My goal as a music creator will be creating music people like and respect and hopefully expand my brand globally, that would be nice.

Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)

A: The artist I would love to collaborate with is Bebe Rexha her vocals are stunning. That would be awesome to do a project with her, fingers crossed

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

A: My advice to people who want to pursue a musical career is be patient, it’s not an easy business but if you stay true to yourself, work smart and diligent anything can be accomplished. Some of the greats came from little but eventually became great artists and even icons.

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A: If I could go back in time I would tell my younger self Focus on the things that Matter not the things that Don’t.
