Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: We’re a four-piece rock band from Scotland that have been orbiting the local scene before starting to play and record last year. We’re influenced by the best bits of other local bands.
Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “Roger Bacon”?
A: We have lots planned – especially with recording – and every project is going to be better than the last, so don’t go far.
Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?
A: Inspiration is found in the 12 failed ideas you had previously.
Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Shank.”?
A: Shank was a proof of concept. It worked.
Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?
A: Sizzle
Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Shank”?
A: It was recorded in an outhouse on an island, rural Scotland. So finding somewhere else to do the toilet was challenging.
Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?
A: That you can DIY literally every aspect of music and still sound great. Welcome to the frying pan.
Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)
A: Madonna
