Arcade Stories is back with their new single “Attack Sequence,” and it’s a blast of raw energy and heavy instrumentation that hits all the right notes. The band from Mackay, Queensland has evolved their sound into something much heavier and this track is a great example of their musical journey.
This track is a powerful mix of metal core with a hint of nu-metal nostalgia. The guitars and drums are incredible, driving the song forward with an intense rhythm that’s hard to ignore. The production is polished with excellent mixing and mastering that makes every element of the track stand out. The band’s energy is amazing and their music leaves a lasting impression.
The melodies here are catchy and the atmosphere is both unique and haunting. The song’s theme explores mankind’s relentless pursuit of more advanced weapons and methods of destruction, adding a thought-provoking layer to the aggressive sound. The energy of the track is infectious and it’s one of those songs that will get stuck in your head for days. Arcade Stories has really stepped up with this release and we’re excited to see what they come up with next. ABOUT THE BAND :
Arcade Stories brings a musical diversity to a heavy existence, showcasing elements from alternative metal and metalcore, tastefully tuned in with electronic sections.
Based in Mackay, Queensland, Arcade Stories began as an alternative project and over time has evolved into something much heavier. The band became a live performing act in 2022, most notably supporting Northlane and Windwaker in Mackay for their regional tour. Arcade Stories also opened for Unify Off The Record Mackay in 2023.
The foundation of Arcade Stories was built with the powerful and atmospheric releases Submerse and Unbroken. The sound started to become heavier introducing tight riffs and an all round darker feel with fan favourite Ashtray Bouquet. Since then every release was a showcase of collaboration between members. The debut EP High Score Diploma showed a spread of influence with the riff driven track You Are Dead, while showing the band is capable of taking it back a notch with the alternative metal style track New Game, and the emotive track Continue? In 2024 the band released their most pristine work to date – Night Negatives, a single that pushed the boundaries of metalcore and began to define the sound of Arcade Stories.
