ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Multi-instrumentalist and producer November Criminal is a promising young artist who blends a mix of styles from psychedelic rock and ambient scores to electronic hip-hop beats, creating an original and engaging sound. His sound is wholly his own, with almost all tracks written, played, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered himself.
Beginning with the celebrated EP ‘Firewall’ (2017), he quickly proved himself to be a competent songwriter and musician, taking inspiration from the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Unknown Mortal Orchestra. His prolific first year culminated in the ambitious debut album ‘Watershed’ (2017), an experimental, conceptual look at adolescence, solidifying him as a unique and interesting new musical figure, recalling the alternative works of Sigur Rós and Paul Walker.
His following releases were primarily scores for the plays ‘Death to the Afterlife’, ‘Test Bed’, and ‘Beyond Faith’ (2019), and ‘Mercury Fur’ (2020). These praised works presented a more mature approach to music production, with many commenting on his ability to perfectly enhance what was happening onstage, taking inspiration from celebrated composers such as Ludwig Göransson and Ryuichi Sakamoto.
He has since released two volumes in his beat tape series Scrambled Eggs, which have been heavily inspired by and likened to those by producers Madlib and The Alchemist. He is also releasing his first project in over a year, the 2022 EP ‘Plato’s Chariot’, going back to his psychedelic rock roots.
