Born in Belgium in 1977 and now residing in Brighton, UK,Mark’s artistic journey has been shaped by his diverse heritage and upbringing. Born to British public servants from Stretham Hill and Wimbledon, Mark’s parents embarked on a journey through France, The Netherlands, and Belgium during the vibrant 1960s and 1970s. Amidst the backdrop of his parents’ adventurous spirit, Mark’s creativity began to take root. It was his parents who bestowed upon Mark his first instrument, a bass, purchased from a small store in Brighton, which has since grown into the iconic GAK. To this day, Mark frequents the store, both as a shopper and a trader of musical instruments. Though Mark always harbored dreams of recording an album, life’s obligations took precedence, and he spent the last 25 years writing and recording songs, accumulating pages and lost CDs in boxes. Mark’s shy and introspective nature made public performances a rarity, yet his passion for music remained unwavering.
