Harper n Hubble are back with their new album, “Reflections” and it’s a beautiful musical experience from start to finish. The album consists of 13 tracks, each one carefully crafted with rich melodies, heartfelt lyrics and captivating harmonies. The duo complements each other perfectly, creating a sound that feels warm and inviting.
One of the standout aspects of this album is its strong songwriting. Every song has a story to tell and the lyrics feel personal and memorable. The melodies are varied, making the album engaging all the way through. The vocals are rich, easy to listen to and supported by soft harmonies from the duo’s friend Sharon Venal, which adds an extra layer of depth with her backing vocals on several tracks, enhancing the overall sound.
The production of the album is impressive. Andy Hubble and Paul Harper worked remotely, exchanging ideas and recordings before bringing everything together in the studio. Their process shows how well they collaborate and it results in a polished and cohesive album. The instrumentation is well thought out, with drums, keys, strings, and backing vocals all working together seamlessly to support the core melodies.
One of the more personal songs is “Summer of 76” which reflects both artists’ early experiences in music. It’s a nostalgic and heartfelt song that stands out as a highlight of the album. The opening song, “Something I Missed,” is a favorite, and “You and Me” is a song that will stay with you for days. “Tired of Loving You” and “Real Lovers” are full of emotions with captivating melodies and honest songwriting. But really, every song has something special to offer.
Overall, “Reflections” is an album that deserves more attention. Harper n Hubble’s passion for music is evident in every note and their ability to craft meaningful, well-produced songs makes this a must-listen. We really enjoyed the warmth and honesty in their music. It’s the kind of album that feels comforting yet exciting at the same time. If you haven’t checked it out yet, now’s the time!
