Alba Fury – Out of Time

This new single, “Out of Time”, is something special from four-piece alt-indie/post-punk band Alba Fury. They combine raw energy with polished production to create a track that feels both gritty and captivating.

The song grabs your attention from the very first note with its driving rhythm and textured guitars. The drums are hard, the bass is steady and the vocals are emotional. The chorus is especially memorable, adding a pop sensibility to the track while retaining its darker edge. The song has a haunting atmosphere, and the lyrics only add to that feeling.

“Out of Time” is about mortality – that sobering realization that our time on earth is limited. Michael Ward’s vocals are just the right mix of intensity and vulnerability as he delivers this message. The subject is heavy, but the song feels life affirming in a way. It makes you think about how precious life is and how important it is to live it to the fullest.

The thing that stands out most about Alba Fury is that they can combine powerful instrumentals with meaningful messages. You can hear influences like Fontaines D.C. and Joy Division in their music, but they add their own creative flair to the mix. The production here is top notch too, everything sounds crisp, professional and ready to fill live venues.

We loved this track from start to finish. The energy is infectious and the haunting vibe keeps you hooked until the last second. “Out of Time” is proof that Alba Fury is a band to watch, and they have an undeniable talent. We can’t wait to see where they go next if this is just the start. Whether you’re a fan of post-punk or just looking for something fresh and powerful, give this single a listen. It’s a song that will stick with you long after it’s over.

ABOUT THE BAND:

Alba Fury is a four-piece alt-indie/post-punk band based in Leith, Edinburgh. They came together in early 2023 after former West Lothian bandmates Jamie Thomson and Michael Ward (co-founder of La Sierra Casa songwriting camp with The View’s Kyle Falconer) decided to develop some demo ideas together. They cite Fontaines DC, Sprints, Young Fathers, and Joy Division as influences.

The band members are Michael Ward (lead vocals), Sam Greig (guitar), Jamie Thomson (bass & backing vocals), and Fraser Plumb (drums). They look forward to bringing their energetic performance to audiences across Scotland and further afield in the coming months
