Conversation With SC C Notes

Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how your childhood impacted your musical direction?
A: 
well I’m from Clio South Carolina and in South Carolina you have to be tough. So when I make music there is a sense of aggression in my songs. I relate to the streets so you hear the streets in my music. I speak on things in life others can relate too. Just like other States it’s the same old stuff just a different state and city.

Q: How are you planning on growing your fan base and sharing your music with the world? What message do you have for anyone who is about to discover “SC C Notes”?

A: I plan to keep the music coming and it will catch the ears of old and new fans. I’ll continue pushing and promoting content until they know my name. For anyone who’s  just now discovering SC C Notes your getting a great artist. He is going to come with that heat you can relate too. You won’t be disappointed with him he brings it on songs.

Q: Who is the most inspiring artist for you right now? And where do you find inspiration for making music?

A: my most inspiring artists are Gucci man I grew up listening to Gucci. Chief keef is also another artist that I listen to a lot. I find my inspiration for songs off of what I lived. This is the nature of South Carolina the soldier mentality. Just that grind just to have something from nothing inspires my music. 

Q: Can you tell us about the story or message behind the song, “Ran it up freestyle.”?

A: the story behind ran it up is that grind hard on a paper chase. This is that song you listen to when you ran your money up. It gives that energy like I did it I finally ran it up. This song gives you that energy to get up and go get it.

Q: How would you describe your sound in one word for potential listeners?

A: my sound is unique that country ghetto flow. So in one word my sound would be original.

Q: Did you face any challenges while writing or recording “Ran it up freestyle”?

A: yea I was facing adversity when I made this song. I had a lot of things going on that was stopping my progress. So I started putting my thoughts on beats and made progress. It made me focus on getting my money up. 

Q: What is the message of your music? And what are your goals as an artist?

A: my message in my music is that no state is really different it’s the same. I give you a feel of how South Carolina is. We have artists too and SC C Notes is gonna hold it down. is gonna hold it do. My goals as a artist are to be as great as I can be. Make my way into the main streams for my state. Show the world that I’m a talented artist and this is the beginning.                       

Q: Who is your dream artist to collaborate with? (dead or alive)

A: which artist would I like to collaborate with would be chief keef. 

Q: What is your advice for people interested in pursuing music as a career or for those trying to enter the industry?

A: My message would be to work hard it’s not easy. You will have to work your you know what off everyday. If this is what you won’t to do take it seriously.

Q: If you could go back in time and give a younger you some words of wisdom, what would they be?

A:  I would tell myself to stay focused and take everything you do seriously. Don’t take no days off look to progress everyday. Grind hard until you can tell yoself you ran it up!
