Phil Mahoney joined the band in 2019 to add additional sounds on the guitar. The group put out their debut album “Soft on Crime” in 2017. They released their follow up album “Be Whelmed” in 2019. Now they are releasing their third album “That is That” which was recorded at The Bridge Sound and Stage by Alex Allinson, which brings in more of Phil Mahoney’s jangly and ethereal guitar parts. There is quite a bit of variety in the selection of songs from the shoegaze pop sensibility of “The Dog Door on Mars” to the psychedelic wall of sound of “Last of the Icons”, the indie rock masterpiece “Riptide”, and the melodic pastoral jingle of “One More Day”. Medical Maps’ third album, “That is That”, is a fresh new sound which will unite fans of all genres and will provide hours of listening enjoyment for all.
